SUMMARY:Meadowlark Farm and Mill Field Day
DESCRIPTION:What a unique opportunity NPSAS has in 2026 to be working on a research project through SARE with farms in 4 different states. One of the participating farms is in Ridgeway\, Wisconsin with John and Halee  Wepking. \nAs their website says\, John and Halee met cooking at one of New York City’s most beloved restaurants\, Prune. Food was what brought them together\, and it is what they continue to be passionate about as farmers. We are excited to see what these foodies are doing on their farm and mill. Come listen as they share their story and how they are helping to research and test the NPSAS Farmer Bred Devyatka Buckwheat developed through the Farm Breeder Network of NPSAS. . \nThe Wepking’s have a unique story of how they became farmers through a Craig’s List ad that led them from New York to Wisconsin. They were mentored by a farmer looking to retire but wanted to share his \nknowledge with someone or a family looking to farm.  The Wepkings were thrust into their position of  \nfarm ownership long before they anticipated or were ready\, but yet their resilience shines. \nThis event is an event sponsored by NPSAS\, SARE and other great supporters. \n\n \n \n Meadowlark Farm & Mill Field Day\n We look forward to seeing you in Ridgeway\, WI! \n \n Name(Required)\n \n \n \n First\n \n \n \n \n Last\n \n \n Email\n \n Cell phone # (in case circumstances change on the day of the event)Do you have any questions you would like answered about organic transition or farm research? Are you a farmer interested in organic farming?(Required)I am a farmer interested in new technology.I am already a certified organic organic farm.I am a farmer interested in more information on transitioning to organic farming.I am not a farmer\, I just think ag tech is cool. How did you hear about this event?Social MediaAdvertisementWord of MouthNewspaperOrganizational NewsletterOtherWant to keep up-to-date with our latest news and announcements?
