For 50 years the Johnson family has been farming organically\, long before it was a commonly known practice. Learn from their years of experience and how they have created a rotation of crops and systems to help keep their operation sustainable for the next generation.  \nSpeaking of the next generation. One of the great things about the Johnson Family Farm is the multi-generational aspect of the operation. How have they successfully brought in the next generations of farmers and worked together as a family which in many cases\, can be difficult. Hear how they approached and brought in the next generation. \nIn addition to the tour\, a panel of organic specialists will present information and insight on the various stages of certification\, transition\, and marketing.  Join us starting at St. Peter on the Prairie for the day including a lunch with conversation and networking with other farmers\, soil specialists\, marketing professionals\, and more.
