
2025 Organic Field Day with NDSU Carrington Research Center

Join the learning with those who have been providing professionally led organic agriculture research in North Dakota for many years. The 2025 NDSU Carrington Research Center Field Day will be held on July 22, 2025 starting at 9:00 am. A number of great topics will be covered including but not limited to:
Morning Session from 9:30 – 12:00 will include topics including:
- Equipment for organic farming & Understanding and enhancing soil health, how to assess it using key indicators, and practical ways to improve and sustain it.
- Considerations for using manure and compost in organic farms
- Regenerative and agricultural sustainability incentive programs for organic producers
- Farm risk management – strategies to safeguard your organic operation
- Precision agriculture for organic farming: demonstration of emerging smart technologies for organic crop production
- Current and future organic research initiatives, including soil health, crop rotation, intercropping, weed management, variety trials, and more.
12:00 – LUNCH – provided with thanks to additional sponsors Northern Canola Growers Association and North Central Sustainable Ag Research and Education (SARE).
