2025 NPSAS Food and Farming Conference
“The Future of Farming”
Where are we going, how will we get there, and who are we taking with us. There are a number of things we need think about to ensure the success of a farm. Some of the things we need to look at include what technology will take us into the future on our farm or what protocols and marketing needs do we address. Another is how do we bring in the next generation to successful transition. Learn about these ideas and more at the 2025 Food and Farming Conference.

In addition to a great slate of keynotes and workshops for the full conference on Jan. 24-25th, we have some impressive pre-conference in-depth sessions on Thursday January 23rd. You can choose from:
- Organic Academy Road Show – This course is a great introduction into the journey of transitioning to organic farming and ranching practices. Learn about the inspection process, creating an Organic System Plan, crop rotation, marketing, financing, a great introduction into all you need to know to be successful in your transition. You’ll learn from those who’ve walked this path and the experts that will help you and make this an easier road to travel. 10:00 – 5:00 pm Thursday & 9:30 – 11:30 am Friday
- How to Stop the Fight on the Way to the Funeral – Learn how to avoid common pitfalls that can tear families and businesses apart. This engaging workshop will explore the real-life challenges families face, from generational gaps to financial disagreements. Discover practical strategies to foster open communication, set clear expectations, and build lasting relationships. Don’t let your family’s legacy be defined by conflict. Join us to learn how to turn potential problems into positive solutions. 1:00 PM – 4:00 PM Thursday

Jolene Brown
JOLENE BROWN, CSP, CPAE is a farmer, author, and curator of peace working with family farms to create a working plan for generations to work together for an operation that can be passed on for generations. A walking/talking champion for the people of agriculture, she shares her credibility, authenticity, humor, and wisdom with audiences worldwide through her writing, keynotes, and workshops.
Ray Archuleta
RAY ARCHULETA is a farmer who’s worked with a number of farmers in his capacity as a Certified Professional Soil Scientist with the Soil Science Society of America. He has over 30 years’ experience as a Soil Conservationist, Water Quality Specialist, and Conservation Agronomist with the Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) working in New Mexico, Missouri, Oregon, and North Carolina.
Bob Quinn
Bob Quinn, is a farmer with a Ph.D. in plant biochemistry. He returned to his family’s Montana farm and founded Kamut International. His company transformed an ancient grain into a global superfood, known for its health benefits and community-focused approach. He started a successful grain mill and has committed his time to developing a learning center on his Montana farm. He’s a long-time member of NPSAS.
