| Other relevant information | We raised AQHA horses and organic hay during the times our children were growing up on the farm. We have been teaching and living in Jamestown, ND since children left home. We still have the 160-acre farm in Hettinger County and want to get back to using the land profitably and sustainably. We raised quality oats for the horses and now our neighbor has been haying the grass and alfalfa. We have never sprayed with chemicals over the 43-years of our ownership but we want to get certified organic and were told that NPSAS could provide us with referrals or mentorship with getting certified and using best practices. We still have horses grazing the land but want to produce a cash crop. Last winter I sat in through Zoom or you tube on the winter conference. I regret missing it this year but hope to download what is available through your website. We attended the Carrington Extension session in June of 2019 on organic practices. I attended the NPSAS winter session virtually in January of 2021 but regret missing the session in Fargo this past January. |
